Snap Targets Enterprise Market with Nvidia, AWS, and Salesforce Partnership for AR Glasses
Snap Inc. is making a significant push into the enterprise market with its augmented reality glasses, the $2,000 Specs. The company has announced strategic partnerships with tech giants Nvidia, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Salesforce to bolster this initiative.
Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snap, speaking with CNBC on June 16, 2026.
Snap CEO Evan Spiegel emphasized that the company aims to position Specs not merely as smart glasses for photography, but as a powerful computing device. This strategic shift is designed to move beyond Snap's traditional consumer market success and capture lucrative enterprise applications.
Bridging the Gap to Enterprise AR
Launched with a $2,195 price tag and a $200 refundable deposit, Snap's Specs were initially presented as a consumer-focused product. However, Spiegel believes the device's form factor is better suited for enterprise tasks than previous bulky AR/VR headsets like Microsoft's HoloLens and Meta's Quest series, which have yet to achieve widespread adoption.
The partnership with Nvidia is particularly significant. Spiegel highlighted Nvidia's open-source XR AI platform, which is already being utilized by numerous businesses. The collaboration with both Nvidia and Salesforce aims to simplify the process for enterprises to leverage these advanced AI capabilities.
Specs Intelligence and Future AI Endeavors
In addition to its enterprise push, Snap is also introducing Specs Intelligence, a consumer-facing AI service. This digital assistant is designed to perform tasks across the AR glasses, as well as on iPhones and Mac computers. While pricing details are still being finalized, the service will feature a free tier and various paid options based on usage.
Snap's involvement in AI comes at a time of intense global discussion surrounding AI safety and the pace of development. Spiegel acknowledged these concerns, advocating for a coordinated international response and urging regulators to focus on actual potential harms rather than perceived ones.
