This article identifies Nvidia, Alphabet, and Amazon as the top three ‘Magnificent Seven’ stocks to buy today, primarily due to their immense potential in the artificial intelligence build-out. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud are seeing booming growth and significant capital expenditures, promising high returns on investment for both tech giants. Nvidia, as the leading provider of GPUs essential for AI computing, is set to benefit massively from hyperscaler spending, projecting an impressive 70% revenue increase for 2027.

The illustrious 'Magnificent Seven' collective continues to represent the vanguard of leading technology stocks in the market. While their individual dominance may have shifted slightly since the group's inception, these companies collectively maintain their status as the largest listed on the U.S. stock exchange. The group famously includes:
- Nvidia (NVDA)
- Apple (AAPL)
- Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL)
- Microsoft (MSFT)
- Amazon (AMZN)
- Meta Platforms (META)
- Tesla (TSLA)
Having positions in every stock on this esteemed list, my current focus is on accumulating more shares of three particular giants: Nvidia, Alphabet, and Amazon. The driving force behind this selective enthusiasm? Their immense potential for gains stemming from the burgeoning artificial intelligence revolution.

Cloud Computing Prowess Fuels Amazon and Alphabet's Ascent
Amazon and Alphabet stand as titans in the realm of cloud computing services. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud consistently rank as the industry's largest and third-largest providers, respectively. Both are pouring significant capital into expanding their infrastructure to maintain this formidable market standing. Projections indicate Amazon's data center capital expenditures reaching $220 billion by 2026, with Alphabet's nearing $200 billion. Given this aggressive spending, one might wonder why these stocks are considered prime buying opportunities.
The answer lies in the anticipated return on investment, which is expected to be exceptionally high.
Alphabet's Google Cloud segment is experiencing phenomenal growth. In Q2, Google Cloud's revenue surged by an astounding 82% year over year, coupled with an impressive 36% operating margin. This robust growth significantly bolstered the company's overall performance. With a backlog exceeding $500 billion, Alphabet's demand for computing power is immense. While substantial investment is required now, this will undoubtedly translate into significantly larger profits in the future.
Amazon mirrors this trend with AWS, which grew 37% in Q2, far outstripping its traditional commerce division. Crucially, AWS boasts a substantially higher profit margin. Consequently, despite generating only about 21% of Amazon's total revenue in Q2, it was responsible for a remarkable 60% of operating profits. This dynamic suggests that as new computing capacity comes online and AWS's growth accelerates, its profitability will expand even faster, solidifying Amazon's position as a premier Magnificent Seven investment.
Nvidia: The Indispensable Engine of AI Computing
While Amazon and Alphabet are developing their own custom AI computing chips for their data centers, the vast majority of their underlying computing power still relies heavily on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) manufactured by Nvidia. GPUs have become synonymous with AI computing power, and clients leveraging Alphabet and Amazon's cloud services are intimately familiar with and utilize Nvidia's technology. This necessitates continuous, substantial purchases of Nvidia chips by cloud providers to meet surging client demand.
Alphabet and Amazon's massive capital outlays in 2026 are providing a significant tailwind for Nvidia. Moreover, this AI infrastructure build-out is far from complete. Nvidia recently informed investors that the 'big five' AI hyperscalers are projected to invest nearly $800 billion in data centers this year, with that figure escalating to an astonishing $1.3 trillion next year. This unprecedented spending spree promises immense growth for Nvidia. The company confidently projected an impressive 70% increase in revenue for 2027, highlighting its unparalleled position in the market.
NVDA Revenue (Quarterly YOY Growth) data by YCharts
Nvidia, despite its colossal size, consistently demonstrates superior performance. It remains, in my view, the paramount stock to acquire within the Magnificent Seven, though Amazon and Alphabet also present compelling investment cases for the AI-driven future.
