Despite a recent plunge in its share price, cloud infrastructure company CoreWeave has received a ‘buy the dip’ recommendation from Deutsche Bank. The investment bank maintains a $150 price target, implying substantial upside, arguing that the selloff is not justified by company-specific factors and that CoreWeave’s strong fundamentals and critical role in AI infrastructure, alongside partnerships with industry giants like Nvidia and OpenAI, make it an attractive investment.

Cloud infrastructure firm CoreWeave has seen its shares tumble recently, but Deutsche Bank believes this presents a prime buying opportunity. Despite a sharp selloff over the past week, the investment bank has reiterated a 'buy' rating on CoreWeave stock, setting an ambitious price target of $150, which suggests a remarkable 128% upside from Wednesday's closing price.
Analyst Brad Zelnick noted on Wednesday that a 'confluence of factors' appears to be driving the decline in CoreWeave's public equity and debt. While acknowledging that CoreWeave's future is intrinsically linked to the success and demand for underlying compute infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence, Zelnick stated, "Beyond that, we struggle to find company specific factors that justify the recent move." The company's shares notably plummeted over 15% on Wednesday, partly due to investor concerns surrounding its significant borrowing, including a $3 billion convertible debt offering announced in September.
Nevertheless, Deutsche Bank remains confident in CoreWeave's prospects. Zelnick highlighted the 'quite supportive' fundamental market backdrop for AI infrastructure, even with some fluctuations in large language model token prices. He emphasized that the Nvidia-backed company boasts "close customer and technical relationships with industry leaders like NVIDIA, Dell, Meta, [OpenAI] and others," which he believes will provide crucial "support and different financing options as market conditions evolve," allowing the stock to potentially climb even in a challenging market environment.
This bullish stance from Deutsche Bank aligns with broader Street consensus. LSEG data indicates that out of 45 analysts covering CoreWeave, 32 have issued a 'buy' or 'strong buy' rating on the stock, reinforcing the optimistic outlook for the cloud infrastructure provider. Despite the positive analyst sentiment, CoreWeave shares continued to trade more than 5% lower in premarket trading on Thursday.
