A federal judge has rejected Donald Trump’s third attempt to move his New York state criminal hush money case to federal court. Judge Alvin Hellerstein ruled that Trump waited too long after his conviction and a key Supreme Court immunity decision to make the request.

Hellerstein stated that the hush money payments and cover-up are not considered official acts eligible for presidential immunity. Trump’s legal team plans to appeal the decision.
