Tesla shares experienced a 6% drop on Friday following a Cybercab update event that failed to excite investors. The company’s new robotaxi, the Cybercab, has been in production since April and is now available for limited rides in Austin, Texas. However, the event lacked a public livestream and CEO Elon Musk’s presence, drawing criticism from analysts for its limited new information.

Adding to the concerns, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an inquiry into the Cybercab’s compliance with U.S. safety standards, further dampening investor sentiment.
